The main objective of the Bié Project is to improve access to clean and reliable water supply services for communities in the project area. This includes improving water quality, expanding coverage and ensuring the sustainability and resilience of the water supply infrastructure. The project also aims to promote socio-economic development, public health and environmental and climate sustainability through the adoption of better water management practices.
The Bié Project covers the municipality of Cuito, namely the city of Cuito and the town of Cunje, and does not include the “Centralidade” where the company currently operates. It should be noted that EPASBIÉ-E.P.’s current coverage only includes the urban and peri-urban areas of these municipalities.
